From 2008 to 2014, the name Urban Cruiser was used for a hatchback, but the new crossover has nothing in common with that model.
The new Urban Cruiser is a slightly restyled version of the Suzuki Vitara Brezza crossover, from which it also borrows the 1.5-liter engine producing 105 hp and 138 Nm of torque. The transmission is a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic.
The equipment list of the front-wheel-drive crossover includes LED headlights, 16-inch wheels, climate control, keyless entry, rain sensor, and a 7-inch touchscreen, etc.
The Toyota Urban Cruiser will be produced at the Maruti Suzuki plant in India. It is expected that the price of the base version will not exceed 11 thousand dollars.
