The German manufacturer has not yet disclosed the technical specifications of the new models. According to preliminary data, the cars will receive a hybrid powertrain similar to that used in the updated Volkswagen Passat GTE, presented in early 2020.
This system includes a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine producing 156 horsepower, paired with an electric motor with 115 horsepower and a battery pack with a capacity of 13 kilowatt-hours. On pure electric energy, the Passat GTE can travel up to 56 kilometers without needing to recharge.
