The new Audi S3 will be equipped with a modernized 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, whose output will be increased from 300 to 310 horsepower. Peak torque will remain the same — 400 newton-meters. For comparison: the Mercedes-AMG A35 engine develops 306 hp and 400 newton-meters.

The engine will work with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system capable of sending up to 100% of the torque to each axle if necessary. According to preliminary data, the next Audi S3 will be able to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, and its top speed will be electronically limited to 250 km/h.
Order books for the new Audi S3 will open in May this year, with the first cars arriving at dealers in July.
It is expected that the public premiere of the next-generation Audi A3/S3 will take place in March at the Geneva Motor Show. The model, which will be built on the MQB Evo modular platform, will share key components and assemblies with the eighth-generation Volkswagen Golf.
