In the Volkswagen model range for Europe, there are already compact SUV models with similar names — T-Cross and T-Roc, and the Nivus, which was created for Brazil, is also expected to appear. According to one hypothesis, it is this model that may enter other markets under the name T-Go, which will be more familiar to Europeans. At the same time, the sporty version will get the name T-Sport, and the coupe-like version — T-Coupe.
There is another version, according to which T-Sport, T-Go and T-Coupe will become designations for a whole new generation of crossovers. For example, it could be about the production version of the Taigun concept, presented in 2012–2014, which was previously predicted to be called T-Track.
Most likely, the new SUV will be based on the modular MQB platform.
