Honda has decided to abandon the use of diesel engines. This was reported by Reuters, citing a brand representative.
According to forecasts, diesel engines may disappear from Japanese cars as early as 2021.
In the future, Honda will focus on vehicles with an electric powertrain. The company expects that by 2030, the share of eco-friendly models in the brand's lineup will reach two-thirds.
In addition, by 2025, it is planned that every Honda model presented on the European market will have an electric version.
