In 2022, the company plans to launch small-scale production of such cars, and mass production will begin no earlier than 2025.
BMW is not yet sharing details about the powertrain. It is only known that it does not include an internal combustion engine – this is indicated by the absence of exhaust system pipes. The exterior design also features elements pointing to the crossover's belonging to the i-line: wheels with blue accents and the Mineral White body color.
Among the advantages of a car with a fuel cell installation are an impressive range and fast refueling. While modern electric vehicles require more than half an hour to recharge, the tank of a hydrogen car can be filled in just a few minutes.
