The new engine produces 100 horsepower and 160 newton-meters of torque. It replaced the previous 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine, which developed 115 hp and 156 N·m.

With this unit, the Duster reaches 100 km/h in 12.5 seconds. In the combined cycle, the car consumes an average of 5.6 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers. The engine works in conjunction with a five-speed manual transmission.

Only front-wheel-drive versions of the crossover are equipped with this powertrain.
