Nissan has unveiled the first teaser showing the exterior of the next-generation Juke compact crossover. The image shows that the new model will feature elongated daytime running lights and round headlights. The public debut of the model is scheduled for September 3.

The new Nissan Juke will be based on the modular CMF-B architecture developed within the Renault–Nissan alliance. It is expected that the range of powertrains will include a 1.5-liter diesel engine, as well as a 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine. The appearance of a turbocharged 1.6-liter unit with 190 horsepower has also been announced.

Apparently, the external dimensions of the car will remain the same. This information was confirmed by Nissan's chief designer Alfonso Albaisa. He noted that the next Juke "will retain its individuality." At the same time, it is possible that a number of design solutions will be borrowed from the electric Leaf model.
