The car will receive an electric motor that will be installed on the rear axle. The power of the unit will be 150 hp (110 kW) and 300 Nm of torque.
The battery pack is located in the floor of the car within the wheelbase, which will achieve a low center of gravity and ideal weight distribution across the axles — 50:50. The electric car will also be equipped with a fully independent suspension. The set of lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 35.5 kWh with liquid cooling is compatible with a fast charging system that can replenish the battery charge from zero to 80% in half an hour. It is expected that the Honda e will be able to travel up to 200 kilometers without recharging.

The Honda e will be the first model of the Japanese brand built on a new platform specifically designed for cars with fully electric powertrains. So far, the Japanese have not yet shown the production version of the model. Most likely, the new product will be presented before the end of this year, and its sales will start in 2020.
Currently, Honda has already announced the start of accepting orders for the electric car. Initially, the new product will be available in four European countries: Great Britain, Germany, France, and Norway. For example, in Great Britain, the electric car is available for pre-order at a price of 800 pounds sterling.
