According to information published by Automotive News, the new Volkswagen Amarok will be built on a platform developed by Ford for the Ranger model. Using a common base will give the German manufacturer the opportunity to significantly reduce the costs of designing its own chassis.
It is worth noting that the German and American auto giants recently reached an agreement to create a global partnership, within the framework of which they plan to jointly develop light commercial vehicles and pickups.
