The crossover received modified bumpers, a redesigned radiator grille and new optics, which are now fully LED — even on base versions.

The engine lineup is similar to the regular GLC. The base GLC 200 crossover is equipped with a petrol four-cylinder producing 197 hp. One step up is the GLC 300 modification with the same engine, boosted to 258 hp. Both modifications are mild hybrids. The conventional internal combustion engine is assisted by an EQ Boost motor-generator powered by a 48-volt on-board network, which can briefly add 150 Nm of torque during acceleration. The diesel range includes GLC 200d (163 hp), GLC 220d (194 hp) and GLC 300d (245 hp) versions.
