The wheelbase of the Mercedes-Benz GLC L has been increased by approximately 100 millimeters, which freed up additional space in the cabin for rear-seat passengers. The overall length of the crossover has grown to 4.76 meters. As for the exterior, the new model differs from the standard car only by slightly modified rear doors.

The engine lineup includes three two-liter turbocharged gasoline units developing 184, 211, and 245 horsepower. All engines work in conjunction with all-wheel drive and a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Production of the Mercedes-Benz GLC L will be established in China at the joint venture of the Daimler concern and BAIC company. The public premiere of the crossover will take place in November at the motor show in Guangzhou.
