The car's premiere for the general public is scheduled for the September auto show in Paris. The Kia model will enter the European market in the first quarter of next year.
The exterior of the new model repeats the design of the concept with the same name, shown in autumn 2017 in Frankfurt. Previously, the name Proceed was assigned to the three-door version of the model, which the manufacturer abandoned when transitioning to the new generation.
Compared to the regular Ceed, the new model has modified bumpers, wheel rims, exhaust system, added a spoiler and different lighting. The overall length of the Proceed is 4605 mm, making it longer than the Ceed Sportswagon, but the ground clearance is reduced by 5 mm.
The GT version is equipped with a 1.6-liter gasoline turbo-four with 204 hp. The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
For the GT-Line modification, gasoline engines of 1.0 liters (120 hp) and 1.4 liters (140 hp) are provided, as well as a 1.6-liter turbodiesel with 136 hp. All these engines are offered either with a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed robotized gearbox with dual clutch.
