British journalists report that Hyundai's model lineup will feature its first crossover in the sporty N trim. Previously, such a version was already available for the i30 and Veloster models.

The Kona N will get an aggressive aerodynamic body kit, as well as a stiffer suspension with reduced ground clearance.

The main feature of the "hot" version will be a 250-horsepower turbocharged engine, which will be paired exclusively with a manual gearbox. It is expected that all-wheel drive will not be provided for this modification of the Kona — only front-wheel drive.
