The updated i20 received a modified radiator grille, a different front bumper, as well as new wheel and body color options that can be complemented with a contrasting black roof. In addition, the rear license plate moved from the bumper to the tailgate.
Inside, a 7-inch screen of the new multimedia system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto appeared. The list of options also includes the Hyundai SmartSense safety feature suite.
All diesel engines were removed from the engine lineup of the modernized hatchback, while all previous gasoline engines (ranging from 75 to 120 hp) remained in service. The place of the outdated 4-speed automatic was taken by a seven-speed robot with two clutches.
