The family of I.D. concept electric vehicles has been joined by the I.D. R Pikes Peak racing car, created specifically for the famous Pikes Peak hill climb competition. Moreover, the manufacturer is confident that the impressive electric car will manage to break the Pikes Peak record in its class.
The all-wheel-drive Volkswagen I.D. R Pikes Peak is based on the MEB platform, but no technical specifications are available yet.
More details should be revealed closer to June 24, when the electric car's run up the legendary hill will take place.
