The new Auris looks very expressive and flaunts aggressive edges of a lower body, as well as 18-inch wheels.

The Auris is based on the modular TNGA platform, which allowed lowering the center of gravity. The hatchback has become 40 mm longer (4370) and 25 mm lower (1450). The wheelbase has grown to 2640 mm (+40 mm), which should have a positive effect on the interior space, which the manufacturer preferred not to disclose.

The third-generation Auris has acquired two hybrid versions at once. The base hybrid variant combines a 1.8-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor, which together produce 122 hp. The more powerful hybrid can boast a 180-horsepower setup with a two-liter engine. The initial version of the hatchback is still equipped with a compact 1.2 turbo engine with 116 hp. There was no place for diesel engines in the lineup of the new Auris.
More detailed technical specifications of the third-generation Toyota Auris have not yet been published.
