Externally, the AMG modification of the Gelandewagen can be distinguished by a different grille, modified bumpers and wheel arches, as well as side exhaust pipes. Also, the G 63 versions are fitted with original 22-inch wheels.

The main innovations of the interior are multi-contour seats and a sport steering wheel.

Under the hood of the updated Mercedes-AMG G 63 is a four-liter bi-turbo V8 engine producing 585 hp and 870 Nm. The engine is paired with a new 9-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission.

Acceleration to 100 km/h takes just 4.5 seconds for the hot SUV. The top speed is electronically limited to 220 km/h, but for an extra charge the limit can be raised to 240 km/h.

The world premiere of the model will take place at the Geneva Motor Show, and European sales will start in early summer. Prices have not been announced yet.
