Hyundai has put its first premium crossover into testing, which will be sold under the Genesis brand.
Spy photographers caught the so-called test mule, which is an extended Santa Fe body mounted on a platform for a new crossover. The mysterious model can be identified as belonging to the Genesis brand by the badges on the wheel rims.
The Genesis crossover will likely have little in common with the Santa Fe. The premium model should get its own platform and a range of engines, which may even include eight-cylinder units.
The first Genesis crossover is expected to debut at the end of next year.
