At the very beginning of January, the ST version appeared on the Edge crossover, so it is quite expected that in the coming year a similar modification will be offered for the larger Explorer, already of the sixth generation.
According to available information, the Explorer ST will get a three-liter turbocharged engine producing more than 400 horsepower, and it will be paired with a new ten-speed automatic transmission.
It is assumed that the new Ford Explorer will switch to the rear-wheel-drive CD6 architecture, and the car's premiere is scheduled for the spring of next year.
