It won't be possible to fully appreciate the design of the new "eight" yet, as the model captured during test runs is tightly wrapped in camouflage. An additional teaser showing the elegant rear of the coupe is also not very informative, although the obvious resemblance to the precursor concept is, of course, noticeable.

The 8 Series will be available not only as a coupe, but also in an open-top version with a soft top. In addition to the standard set of petrol and diesel engines borrowed from the 7 Series sedan, the model will get a "hot" M version, and possibly a variant with a hybrid powertrain.
According to preliminary data, the debut of the new BMW 8 Series will take place in the fall at the Paris Motor Show.
