Head of chassis development Karsten Schebsdat spoke about the company's plans. According to him, creating a more powerful version of the Polo GTI is not particularly difficult, since the design of the model's platform "allows for significantly more."

In a conversation with British journalists, Schebsdat noted that the car demonstrates such confident stability in fast corners that it clearly needs an additional reserve of power.

The base version of the Volkswagen Polo GTI is equipped with a two-liter turbocharged TSI engine producing 200 horsepower. Such a hot hatch can accelerate to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and reach a top speed of up to 237 km/h.
