The "six" that debuted in Los Angeles, unlike previous facelifts, has transformed more noticeably on the outside. The sedan has acquired an enlarged radiator grille, slightly modified optics, and a different design of bumpers.
The changes in the interior are even more significant. The cabin now features a new steering wheel and instrument panel, as well as an enlarged media center screen. In addition, the layout of the center console and climate control unit has been changed.
A new 2.5-liter turbo engine has appeared in the engine lineup, producing 254 hp and 420 Nm.
The engineers also modernized the 6-speed automatic transmission, worked on the chassis settings, and improved sound insulation.
Sales of the updated Mazda 6 in the US will start in spring, and closer to mid-year the model will reach the European market.
