Mercedes-Benz has begun testing the new generation of its flagship sedan, the S-Class, which is not expected to premiere before 2020.
Photo spies managed to take several shots of the so-called "mule", that is, the new chassis hidden under the body of the current generation of the model.
It is expected that the next S-Class will be built on a completely new platform and will become much lighter due to an increased number of aluminum and carbon fiber parts.
In addition, the model will be equipped with an advanced autopilot system and, possibly, the number of hybrid modifications will be expanded.
