According to insider information, BMW plans to equip the i3 electric car with a battery of increased capacity.
Next year, the compact electric car will receive a 42 kWh battery. The updated battery will increase the range to 370 kilometers, whereas previously it was 300 kilometers.
With these figures, the updated BMW i3 will be able to directly compete with the new Nissan Leaf, whose range reaches 380 kilometers. However, it is worth noting that the base Leaf is significantly more affordable in price — 32,000 euros versus 37,500 euros for the German model.
