The Mercedes-Benz X-Class is built on the basis of the Nissan Navara model, but differs from the Japanese model with a rear multi-link suspension instead of leaf springs, as well as an exclusively four-door layout. At the same time, the ground clearance of the German is noticeably less – 202 mm versus 230. The payload capacity of the pickup is just over one ton in the body and 3.5 tons on the trailer.

The interior is made in the "Mercedes" style and practically does not remind of the Japanese roots of the model.
