Head of Tesla company Elon Musk announced the date of the start of production of the "budget" electric car Model 3. The first copies of the "three" will come off the assembly line already on July 7.
The first batch of electric cars will consist of 30 vehicles, which will be handed over to customers on July 28 during a ceremonial event.
The electric motors for the Model 3 will be assembled at the new Gigafactory 1 facility located in Nevada. The cars themselves are produced at the Tesla plant in Fremont, California.
The company intends to produce at least 20 thousand Model 3 electric vehicles by the end of the current year.
