The facelifted two-door models feature revised front and rear lighting, as well as some changes in the cabin, in particular, a new instrument panel and improved trim materials.
The updated 1 Series hatchbacks can be recognized externally only by two new body colors - Sunset Orange and Seaside Blue. The changes in the refreshed interior are identical to the two-door models.
The restyling brought no technical innovations to the compact Bavarian models. The range of engines and transmissions remained unchanged.
