The powertrain is planned to be borrowed from the electric version of the Hyundai Ioniq model, since the Niro is built on the same platform as this electric car.
The electric motor with a capacity of 120 horsepower will be powered by a set of batteries with a capacity of 28 kWh. Depending on the measurement method, the range on a single charge will be from 200 to 250 kilometers.
The public showing of the electric version of the Niro is expected no earlier than next year.
By the way, the hybrid modification of the Kia Niro crossover has already gone on sale in the Ukrainian market.
