The exterior of the Stinger is clearly designed with an eye on the Audi A7 Sportback. The Stinger is built on the rear-wheel-drive platform of the Genesis model, with the share of high-strength steels increased to 55%. The hatchback is 4831 mm long, 1869 mm wide, 1400 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2906 mm.

The rich trim can boast adaptive cruise control, automatic braking and lane keeping assist, as well as a 720-watt Harman/Kardon audio system.

The engine lineup currently includes only two power units, which work in pair with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The base is a two-liter turbo engine with 258 hp and 352 Nm of torque. A more "charged" version is offered with a 370-horsepower V6 Twin-Turbo GDI with a displacement of 3.3 liters, producing 510 Nm of torque.

The "turbo-six" gives the Stinger record dynamics for Kia – 5.1 seconds to 100 km/h, top speed – 269 km/h.
As an option, the Stinger can be equipped with all-wheel drive, 19-inch wheels and Brembo brakes (standard for V6 versions).

At first, the Kia Stinger will be available only in America. Entry into other markets is still in question.
