The Japanese decipher WR-V as Winsome Runabout Vehicle, which translates to "attractive car for short trips." The crossover turned out to be the first model created by the Brazilian division Honda Automoveis do Brazil.

The Japanese have not yet disclosed technical details, but according to preliminary information, the WR-V will borrow "technology" from the Fit and HR-V models.
Sales of the Honda WR-V will start next year, but the crossover is not yet planning to go beyond the South American market.
