In honor of the 50th anniversary of the AMG division, which will be celebrated next year, Mercedes-Benz will prepare a concept of a four-door sports car.
The concept car will be a harbinger of the first four-door model under the AMG brand, which will have no analogue in the regular Mercedes lineup. The company considers the premium hatchback from Porsche to be its main rival.
The production series will be released in 2019 under the name GT4. The new model will be based on the modular MRA platform, but more detailed technical data will be revealed closer to the concept's debut.
