The still conceptual Lynk & Co crossover received the unpretentious name 01. The development of the rather original exterior was led by Volvo's chief designer Peter Horbury.

The model is built on the CMA modular platform, which will also underpin the future Volvo XC40 crossover. The Lynk & Co 01 is 4530 mm long, 1855 mm wide, and 1654 mm high. The wheelbase stretches to 2730 mm.
Some elements of the Swedish brand can also be discerned in the interior design. The multimedia system with a 10-inch screen should integrate seamlessly with smartphones. The open API interface allows creating your own additional programs.

Lynk & Co has not yet disclosed the technical specifications, but the engine lineup will definitely include turbocharged units from Volvo. As for the transmission, a manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic will be available.

Serial production of the Lynk & Co 01 crossover is expected to begin at the end of next year. In 2018, the Chinese newcomer should debut on the European and American markets.
