The British SUV received a diesel engine from its "related" Audi SQ7. The unit is a four-liter V8 "eight" producing 435 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The sprint to 100 km/h takes 4.8 seconds, which is 0.7 seconds slower than the version with a petrol engine. The top speed is also slightly more modest: 270 km/h versus 301 km/h for the petrol variant.

It is expected that the diesel Bentley Bentayga will go on sale early next year. According to preliminary data, it will cost slightly less than the petrol version, but exact prices are still kept under wraps.
