The third generation i30 is built on a modernized platform of its predecessor. The car has become longer and wider – by 40 and 15 mm respectively, but lost 15 mm in height. Thanks to these changes, as well as the new exterior, the model now looks more toned and sporty.
The line of petrol engines includes two turbo motors – a 1.0-liter with 120 hp and a 140-hp 1.4 T-GDI, as well as a base naturally aspirated 1.4 producing 100 hp. The diesel range is represented by a 1.6-liter power unit available in three power variants: 95, 110, and 133 hp. As a transmission, a 6-speed manual or a robot with two clutches DCT with seven speeds is offered.
In the cabin, a new multimedia system appeared, supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as wireless phone charging and a navigation system from TomTom.
The start of European sales is scheduled for the first months of next year, pricing policy is not yet known.
