The new generation Kia Rio has grown slightly in size, but still shares a common platform with the i20. The hatchback's length has increased by 15 mm to 4065 mm, and the model has also become 5 mm wider (1725) and 5 mm lower (1450). The wheelbase has grown to 2580 mm (+10 mm).

The new Rio features a longer hood, the signature tiger-nose grille and front bumper have gained aggression, and the rear overhang has become shorter. Inside, there is a new steering wheel, a completely redesigned dashboard slightly angled toward the driver, and a more advanced multimedia system with a large display.

The company has not yet disclosed information about the model's engine lineup.
