Hyundai's South Korean division has released images showing the Avante in local market trim. As noted by the developers in Korea, the global version of the Elantra will look almost identical.

Judging by the published images, the car will feature a coupe-style body, available in three- or four-door variants. The exterior looks quite restrained-aggressive, and the design retains the recognizable features of the company's model lineup.

For the American market, the sixth-generation Elantra will be equipped with a 1.6-liter T-GDI turbo engine producing 175 horsepower, which will work in conjunction with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The expected average fuel consumption will be about 5.4 liters per 100 kilometers.
