This new model may well pose serious competition to the BMW M4. The car's public debut is scheduled for mid-September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The first official images of the C63 AMG were published by Zero 2 Turbo magazine.
It is expected that the new model will get the same powertrain that is installed on the C-Class sedan and estate from AMG. This refers to a four-liter V8 with twin turbocharging, whose power will be either 476 horsepower or 510 hp in the S version. The engine is paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Acceleration to 100 km/h for this version will take exactly four seconds.
The estate, equipped with the 510-horsepower engine, reaches the same mark, but one-tenth of a second slower.
