The model will most likely reach dealers at the end of this year. The station wagon version will debut later, probably in March 2016 at the Geneva Motor Show.

The new-generation Renault Megane will be built on the CMF platform, developed jointly with alliance partner Nissan. Based on spy shots, the new model's exterior will have much in common with the Clio and Espace models.
As for the exterior, the car will get a different radiator grille, new bumpers, updated optics, and a spoiler. Inside, new bucket seats and a 7-inch touchscreen will appear.

The engine lineup will include two petrol engines: a 1.2-liter TCe with 130 hp and a 1.6-liter turbo with 200 hp. Customers will also be offered two diesel units producing 130 and 160 hp.
