The car will roll off the assembly line at the plant in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. In June 2015, the first units will go on sale. The main competitor in the market for the Mercedes-Benz GLE is the BMW X6.
The car is developed on the M-Class platform. The suspension uses a multi-link design at the rear and a double-wishbone solution at the front. As an option, you can order the Airmatic air suspension. Dimensions of the new model: 4935 millimeters in length, 2044 millimeters in width, and 1739 millimeters in height.
The car features LED headlights, a dual exhaust system, and 20-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin is styled in a sporty manner, including sport seats and a steering wheel.
In the engine lineup, there are diesel and gasoline units with a power range from 258 to 585 horsepower. They are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
