The name CDX has been registered with the US Patent Office and will be used for the future compact crossover of the Acura brand.
The compact crossover will be positioned in the Acura model lineup below the RDX. The new model will be based on the Honda HR-V platform, and its direct competitors will include models such as the BMW X1.
The public debut of the Acura compact crossover prototype under the name SUV-X took place at the Shanghai Auto Show in 2013. According to analysts' forecasts, the main sales of the new model will be in the Chinese automotive market.
