This car will become one of the fastest SUVs with a combined power plant.

The BYD Tang powertrain will consist of a two-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine producing 205 hp and an electric motor producing 149 hp. The total power of the unit is 354 horsepower.

The crossover can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, as the Chinese claim. On electric power alone, the car can travel up to 85 km. If the car moves in a combined cycle using both motors, fuel consumption will be approximately 2 liters per 100 kilometers.

There will also be a lightweight version for extreme enthusiasts. It will get an aerodynamic body kit and sport tires. Acceleration to 100 km/h will drop to 4.5 seconds. The crossover will also feature 20-inch gold aluminum alloy wheels and red brake calipers.
The cost of the "base" version of the BYD Tang should be around 250 thousand yuan ($40.2 thousand). The cost of the extreme version is not yet known.
