As stated by KIA, a compact SUV version for the European market will be presented in 12-18 months. The car will be styled after the Kx3 and the Niro prototype, which debuted back in 2013.
As stated by the company's top manager Sun-Nam Lee: "We need a compact crossover. Next year, our new SUV will hit the Chinese market, but the model for Europe is still in the design stage. We are working together with the research and development departments, as well as the financial and strategic departments, but I cannot yet give a specific release date. But we have a plan."
Initially, the crossover will be equipped with a two-liter gasoline engine. It is too early to talk about power. Later, turbocharged units with a volume of 1.4 and 1.6 liters will appear.
Based on and in the style of the concept, another SUV will be developed, which will receive a hybrid powertrain.
