Full production of the car in the USA is a strategic step for Nissan, as the majority of Murano sales occur here. In total, up to 85% of vehicles produced here are sold in the North American market.

Additionally, assembly of Xterra, Frontier, Titan, and Armada takes place here. The launch of the new Murano into production forced the company to hire an additional 1,300 workers.
