The car will be built based on the R 400 concept car, which debuted in Beijing in the spring of this year. Previously, Volkswagen had difficulties in developing the production version of the prototype. This concerns the refinement of the gearbox. It must withstand enormous torque.
The actual engine power is not yet known, but experts suggest it will be in the range of 400-420 hp.
If such power is available, the car will be able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.8-4 seconds. The top speed is up to 300 kilometers per hour.
The exterior will most likely be styled in the GTI and R versions.
It is known that the company plans serial production of the car without any restrictions on the number of units.
