The predecessor of this crossover – BYD S6 – is called the "Chinese Lexus" in our country and beyond. In its new incarnation, the model has become more distinctive, although it still resembles the Lexus RX.
Among the innovations, it is worth noting the high level of equipment and multimedia with a large touchscreen. Almost any information can be displayed on it – from the speedometer to TV. There is also internet access! The BYD S7 also has other "signature features", such as a separate screen in place of the central air duct, which displays compass and altimeter readings.
For the new model, a 2-liter gasoline turbo engine developed by BYD is offered, which produces 350 Nm and delivers 207 horsepower. The engine can be paired with an automatic transmission with dual clutch (the Chinese analogue of Volkswagen's DSG). In China, the starting price of the BYD S7 is 199 thousand yuan (260 thousand hryvnias).
