The appearance of the new Skoda Superb will be in the style of the Vision C concept car. The production version will most likely be adorned with recognizable details: a polygonal radiator grille with vertical slats, expressive headlights, sharp rear lights, and embossed side lines.

The new model, built on the modular MQB platform, will be lower and wider, and will offer more free space than the current model. Some powertrains will be borrowed from the VW Passat B8. In particular, under the hood will appear a two-liter diesel with 190 horsepower and a gasoline TFSI engine of the same volume, producing 280 horsepower. The lineup will also include a hybrid version combining a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor with a total output of 211 hp. In the combined cycle, such a car will consume about two liters of fuel per hundred kilometers. On electric power alone, like the Passat, it will be able to cover up to 50 kilometers.

The new generation Superb is expected to hit the market in the second half of next year. The price of the third generation will be slightly lower than that of the VW Passat B8, which costs 25,875 euros in Germany.
