The armor meets the VR6 level of protection according to international classification. The car withstands direct hits from automatic rifle bullets and a grenade explosion under the floor.
The armor affects the vehicle's weight, so the X5 Security Plus is equipped with a 4.4-liter TwinPower Turbo V8 engine producing 450 hp. The weight also impacted the suspension, which has been modernized accordingly. As for the price, nothing is known yet.
