The new model will feature a hybrid powertrain based on a W12 engine with output ranging from 575 to 650 horsepower. Bentley predicts that by the end of the current decade, hybrid units will be used in nine out of ten cars produced by the company.
Bentley first presented a hybrid modification at the Beijing Motor Show, where it was showcased on the concept version of the Mulsanne. The introduction of the new technology promises a quarter increase in power while simultaneously reducing harmful emissions. However, in pure electric mode, the range will not exceed 50 kilometers.
