It seems that there is no room left in the automotive world for bold decisions? That the standard passenger seating arrangement has long been fixed in technical regulations? But just look at the car's design not from the usual, road perspective, but from a nautical one — and before you appears a real yacht that has driven onto the highway. Such a vessel has two levels: on the upper, open one, there is only the driver-helmsman, while all passengers are located on the lower deck, hidden from prying eyes.
It is this idea that was embodied in his project by Jeremy Westerlund, who at the time was an intern at the design studio BMW DesignworksUSA. His work was named Rolls-Royce Apparition. This name hints at the sudden appearance of four passengers who are hidden in the depths of the huge car and remain invisible to others.
According to the authors' concept, this road giant has a length of 7089 mm, a wheelbase of 4514 mm, and a height of just one and a half meters. It should be powered by an 800-horsepower V16 engine with a displacement of 6.6 liters. Torque of 765 Nm is transmitted to 24-inch wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission.
